According to the  weather forecast, temperatures in  Quebec  are likely to be “near or above normal.” It’s our neighbors in southeastern  Ontario  and  northern Newfoundland and Labrador  who will experience below-normal temperatures.

Furthermore, while southern Quebec will experience milder  weather at the end of 2026, residents will need to dress warmer for the rest of winter, as “colder temperatures and more snow are forecast for the new year,” according to the magazine. These conditions are expected to last from mid-January to mid-February, or even until the end of the month.

A lot or a little snow?

Southern Quebec will experience above-normal snowfall. The same is true for Atlantic Canada and southern Ontario.

Obviously, you shouldn’t take all this information at face value! These are just predictions. On this subject,  Carol Connare , editor-in-chief of the Old Farmer’s Almanac ,  explains that it’s difficult for the organization to make predictions that apply to the entire country, as “Canada is simply too vast.”
