Sarah Jessica Parker Shares Rare Photos of Her Twin Daughters on Their 17th Birthday — Photos
Praises poured in, with one fan marveling “What a gorgeous family!” and another admiring “Look at their beautiful daughters.” Others pointed out the twins’ unique features, with one noting “So weird how they are twins but look nothing alike.”
That wasn’t the first time the twins had made headlines alongside their parents. In November 2022, Sarah Jessica and Matthew walked the red carpet with Tabitha and Marion, marking another rare public appearance for the girls.

Just like their latest outing, that moment sparked another round of comparisons. Prevention magazine shared a snapshot of the trio on Facebook and captioned it, “They look just like their mom!”
But not everyone agreed. One person countered, “They look like their Dad!” Another followed with, “I see the father more.” Someone else with weighed in a different take, “Her son looks just like her; the girls look more like their dad.”

The conversation around the twins often brings up the rest of the close-knit family. Sarah Jessica and Matthew are also parents to their eldest child, James, born in October 2002.

After considering several paths, they viewed surrogacy as a meaningful and promising option. Speaking with Access Hollywood, the actress revealed, “Well, you know, we’ve been trying to expand our family for a number of years, and we actually have explored a variety of ways of doing so. This was one of the things we discussed with seriousness that had real possibilities for us,”
Because surrogacy can be uncertain, Sarah Jessica was asked if the road came with setbacks. She responded with honesty, “Yeah, I mean, I couldn’t pretend otherwise, adding:
“It would be a complicated – it would be odd to have made this choice if I was able to, you know, have successful pregnancies since my son’s birth.”

Her openness continued as she described how she felt upon hearing the news that she was expecting twins. “I mean, giggles!”
Sarah Jessica exclaimed, admitting the outcome caught her off guard. The veteran actress explained that she had tempered her hopes over time to shield herself from letdowns. While the thought of having one more child already felt like a gift, “two was a comedy!” she joked.

Marion and Tabitha arrived in June 2009, adding new joy to the family. Years later, Sarah Jessica revealed that she occasionally forgets they are twins, simply because of how different they are. In a February 2018 interview, she explained:
“They have different interests. They’re really devoted to each other, but they’ll also say, ‘I need time away from her.’”
Their closeness has never meant being inseparable — something both Sarah Jessica and Matthew have openly touched on.

Matthew offered a glimpse into their evolving dynamic during a June 2023 episode of “LIVE with Kelly and Mark.” The father of three explained that the girls originally planned to attend separate high schools but later opted to stick together starting in 2024. He said,, “They’re extremely close, but they also definitely want their own space, and their own friends, and their own time.”
