The 3-Ingredient Crockpot Butter Garlic Potatoes

Step 1: Prepare the Potatoes

Pierce each cleaned potato several times with a fork to allow steam to escape safely during the cooking process.

Step 2: Build the Packets

Tear off a square sheet of heavy-duty aluminum foil for each potato. Place a potato in the center of the foil, top it generously with a couple of slices of butter (or drizzle with melted butter), and sprinkle a heavy coating of the dry garlic and herb seasoning mix over the top.

Step 3: Wrap and Stack

Bring the corners of the foil together and twist or fold them tightly at the top to seal all the juices inside. Place the wrapped packets directly into the bottom of your crockpot. It is perfectly fine to stack them on top of one another if they don’t all fit in a single layer!

Step 4: Slow Cook to Perfection

Cover the crockpot with the lid. Cook on High for 3 to 4 hours or on Low for 6 to 7 hours. You’ll know they are ready when you can easily pierce through the foil into the center of the potato with a fork.

How to Serve Your Creation

When it’s time to eat, carefully remove the packets from the slow cooker using tongs, as they will be incredibly hot and filled with trapped steam. Place an individual packet directly onto each guest’s plate, slice open the foil, and split the potato down the middle to let that irresistible garlic aroma fill the room! Add any extra toppings your heart desires and enjoy.
