How to Prepare a Crisp, Nutrient-Dense Celery Blend

To get the most out of celery without losing the bright flavor notes, combining it with a citrus catalyst creates a perfectly balanced morning or afternoon beverage.

Tool & Ingredient Checklist

  • 1 Bunch of organic celery (washed thoroughly to remove soil residue)
  • ½ Fresh lime or lemon (peeled)
  • ½ Cup filtered water (only needed if using a standard blender)
  • High-speed blender OR a dedicated masticating juicer
  • Fine-mesh strainer or nut milk bag (if using a blender)

Step-by-Step Preparation Guide

1. Prep the Stalks

Cut off the base and the tough top leaves of your celery bunch. Chop the stalks into manageable 1-inch chunks to prevent long celery fibers from tangling around your blender or juicer blades.

2. The Extraction Process

  • If Using a Juicer: Feed the celery chunks and the peeled lime directly into the chute. Collect the concentrated green liquid in a glass pitcher.
  • If Using a Blender: Place the chopped celery, peeled lime, and ½ cup of cold filtered water into your blender jar. Blend on high speed for 60 seconds until completely liquified into a uniform green micro-pulp.

3. Strain for Smoothness

If you used a blender, pour the pulpy mixture through a fine-mesh metal strainer or a nut milk bag directly into a mason jar. Use the back of a spoon to press firmly down on the pulp, extracting every bit of nutrient-dense juice while separating out the tough, insoluble fibers.

4. Serve Immediately

Pour the clear green liquid into a glass with a reusable straw. Drink it fresh to ensure the volatile antioxidants do not oxidize from exposure to the air.
