Before Tabitha and Marion were born, Sarah Jessica and Matthew spoke openly about their hopes of growing their family. In April 2009, the couple announced they were expecting twin daughters via surrogacy after spending years trying to have more children.
Just a month later, Sarah Jessica reflected on the experience. Speaking with Access Hollywood, the actress said, “I’m excited. I’m in disbelief. I’m really grateful. I feel really fortunate. My son is so excited, my husband is so excited.” The actress later shared that pursuing surrogacy came after a long and emotional journey.

Now, 17 years later, Sarah Jessica marked a major milestone for her daughters with an emotional tribute shared in an Instagram post on June 22, 2026:
“June 22, 2009, Today you are 17. And wise. And good. And happy. And beautifully finding your way. And funny. And devoted friend. And beloved daughters.”
“Happy birthday, dearest Loretta and Tabitha. With admiration and every ounce of my love,” she added, ending it with, “XXX, Mama.”

While Sarah Jessica’s message celebrated the young women her daughters have become, recent public appearances provide a glimpse of what Tabitha and Marion look like at 17.
On April 10, 2025, the twins joined Matthew at a Broadway event earlier this year. Standing beside their father, they appeared nearly as tall as he, wearing polished ensembles and understated hairstyles that reflected the low-key image they had maintained despite growing up in a famous family.
