“Are you saying she’s saving me?”
“I can’t prove it,” I replied. “But I’m certain the problem isn’t the cat. You need medical tests. Blood work, blood sugar levels, a heart examination, and possibly a sleep study. Start there.”
She was silent for a long time, then nodded.
