My Future MIL Sewed Tiny Suitcases All over My Wedding Train Because I Already Had a 7-Year-Old Daughter – When My Fiancé Saw It, What He Did Made the Entire Room Go Silent
On our wedding day, Barbara was surprisingly helpful. She offered to arrange the long train of my dress before I walked down the aisle. I couldn’t really see what she was doing behind me, and with photographers, bridesmaids and relatives moving everywhere, I didn’t think much of it.
Then the ceremony began.
Halfway down the aisle, I noticed guests weren’t looking at my face. They were staring behind me.
Some were whispering.
Brandon’s expression changed too.
Lisa, standing near the front in her flower-girl dress, leaned sideways to see my train.
Then she asked, “Mom, why does that say my name?”
My sister hurried over and lifted the fabric.
Attached to the back of my dress were several small fabric suitcases.
And on the largest one was a tag.
LISA.
For a second, I didn’t understand.
Then I looked at Barbara.
“What is this?”
She didn’t even look embarrassed.
“I thought the dress should be honest.”
